The Office of the Vice President of Student Success is pleased to welcome Jana Williams to the role of Senior Program Specialist for Strategic Initiatives, reporting to Melody Munson-McGee. In this role, Jana will focus on initiatives such as developing a care network by onboarding offices that incorporate Navigate into their work; coordinating quick polls and their responses; implementing proactive outreach to students; and expanding the use of Navigate by students. Further, Jana will support individuals using Navigate Analytics through providing training and technical assistance to ensure that users can assess the effectiveness of their completion and retention efforts. Additionally, Jana will support training within the Division and to stakeholders across NMSU. She will support employees and offices that use Navigate and expand the use of Navigate to improve student retention and completion.

Jana previously served NMSU as an academic advisor in the Center for Academic Advising and Student Support and was one of the original Counselors at Aggie One Stop. Jana will begin her work with the Vice President’s Office full time in in late January and will continue to support Aggie One-stop during the busy start of the semester.
