DSS in Employee Council and Aggie Leadership Training Academy

Amanda Madrid, Program Manager for Corporate Relations & Career Events, was elected in February to serve as a voting member of NMSU’s Employee Council. Her term will last for three years through January 2027. She will serve alongside Amanda Blair of Aggie Health and Wellness and Alice Delgado of Education Abroad, who were also elected this year. Additionally, DSS is also represented on Employee Council by Marci Salinas of Student Engagement; Krystal Espinoza, Adriana Delgado, and Marisela Marquez Carrera of Student Records; and Victoria Bañuelos of CAASS. Thank you for your willingness to promote and support NMSU’s mission and vision through service.

Congratulations also to DSS employees who are advancing their leadership through the Aggie Leadership Training Academy. ALTA is a ten-month certification program conducted by NMSU’s Center for Training and Development that provides high performing employees with the opportunity to develop leadership competencies in preparation for career advancement. This year, four DSS employees will participate in this program: Elizabeth Rodriguez, Center for Academic Advising and Support; Kirsten Holles, Aggie Welcome and Orientation; and Rene Samaniego and Griselda Carranza, Aggie Health and Wellness. We are excited to see their continued development and dedication to leadership.
