DSS’s own Trese Collins of NMSU TRIO Student Support Services has been elected to serve as Treasurer for the Southwest Association of Student Assistance Programs (SWASAP), the regional association representing the interests of TRIO participants from Arkansas, New Mexico, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas.  Trese’s election is a testament to her leadership and commitment to supporting students while advancing the mission of TRIO Programs.  

Trese will be the first NMSU employee in over 30 years to serve on the SWASAP Executive Board.  We know that as SWASAP Treasurer Trese will continue to showcase the leadership and advocacy that helps make NMSU a leader for the region with our TRIO Programs.
